A motel room. Cheap sheets spread on a frail wooden bed, which hosts a very thin mattress and two pillows. A small window is hidden by a dirty curtain with a flower motif. A picture of a little house and a tree against the background of a fading sunset adorns one of the walls. A small, white-polished sink stands at stage right, with a small, chipped mirror hanging above it. Lighting is yellow. Dim at once, slowly grows stronger as the play progresses. |
